history
Hubert Gallery was established in 1989 on the corner of Madison Ave & 80th Street. The popular neighborhood gallery was founded by Greg Hubert, who specialized in Modern and Post-war signed prints and multiples. At one time, the gallery was known as having the largest inventory of Matisse prints in the world.
In 2016, the gallery moved to a historic townhouse at 16 East 79th Street where it focused more on exhibiting a curated selection of works by Contemporary artists. In 2023, Lydia Furuta, the longtime Gallery Director, took ownership and shortened the business name to HG Fine Art. She moved the gallery back to Madison Ave in 2025.
